Happy new year… and some lovely news!

Happy new year everyone! We’re delighted to be back after a fabulous Christmas break, and we hope you all had an enjoyable and slightly restful (!) time with your families.

We’ve returned to some wonderful news, and have just been awarded a Community Grant from Rushcliffe Borough Council. Thank-you! What a great way to start 2019!

The £300 grant comes as a result of various conversations we’ve been having with our local Councillor, Debbie Mason, who visited us back in November to find out what we’ve been getting up to. She met one of our parents and lots of our wonderful staff and children, and even helped us with that day’s activity… a bug hunt!!

During her time with us, Debbie heard a lot about our Forest School initiative, and saw how much our little ones love outdoor play and learning. She encouraged us to apply for the grant, and we are delighted that our application has been successful.

We will be using the money, along with some of that raised at our fantastic Christmas Fun Day, to improve the Forest School area of our playground. We’ve already put in our order for our new wooden mud kitchen, and can’t wait to see our tots playing with the new toys and equipment. It will be like Christmas all over again!
