News round-up!
We’ve been a little quiet on the blog recently, but that doesn’t mean our tots have been! This term, the children have been busy with the theme of “growing and changing.” They’ve enjoyed exploring this topic indoors and out, through crafts, stories, activities and general play.
The onset of spring once again brought opportunities to make bird feeders and spot which of our feathered friends were hungriest! We’re also busy making a greenhouse… made from around 70 sturdy plastic drink bottles! So if you have any – pure fruit juice types are ideal – they would be gratefully received!
We’re also on the hunt for chocolate eggs for our fundraising raffle which will be held at the end of term. So if you know any Easter Bunnies who might be willing to donate, please do send them hopping our way!
Whilst on the subject of fundraising, it’s our 55th birthday this year! We’re planning a big summer party to celebrate the occasion on Saturday 27th June. Watch this space for further details.
And don’t forget to keep shopping at the Co-op. As part of their Local Community Fund, £200 has already been raised for Playgroup by local shoppers. Details about what’s involved can be found here.
Finally, welcome to those new families who have joined us since January. We’re delighted you’ve chosen us, and we look forward to seeing your children thrive!
